To receive ministry, please make sure you contact a Bethel Sozo ministry that is part of the Bethel Sozo Network. Every ministry that uses the word ‘Sozo’ is not necessarily part of the original Bethel Sozo themselves.

Bethel Sozo is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry in which the main aim is to get to the root of those things hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Thus, with a healed connection with Father, Son and Holy Spirit you can walk in the destiny to which you have been called.

Through the Sozo process, the truth about what God says and thinks about a person, is discovered from God Himself.  This truth breaks strongholds and belief patterns that will set them free to discover their identity and become the son or daughter that Father God destined them to be through Jesus.

We are created for our body, soul and a spirit to be healthy and working in unity. During the sozo session people often also get healed from physical illnesses. Refer to 3 John 1:2: ‘Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul’.

Here are 6 tools that are used by the SOZO team:

Father Ladder
Four Doors
Presenting Jesus
The Wall
Trigger Mechanisms (Advanced Tool)
Divine Editing (Advanced Tool)

Please be assured that there is NO hypnosis, imagery or New Age practices involved in this ministry.

Shabar Ministry

Shabar is a Hebrew word meaning “broken-hearted” from Isaiah 61:1 and can also be translated “shattered.”

Shabar is a ministry to individuals who have received countless inner healing ministry, and yet cannot hold on to their healing. This ministry is not a first grab tool but is a tool to use toward the end of the inner healing process. The Shabar ministry was launched in 2002 by developing a Shabar team to minister to individuals requesting the ministry.

The goal of Shabar ministry is to bring knowledge, hope, and wholeness to a “shattered” individual. There are 3 different approaches:

1. Using Shabar techniques with individuals who need aid in other areas
2. Using Shabar techniques with individuals who are unaware they are shattered
3. Using Shabar techniques with individuals who know they are shattered

What to Expect From Your Personal Sozo Session

We allow two hours for your Sozo session, although we often finish in less time than that.

One or more Sozo ministry team members will sit down with a person, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, walk them through the process of freedom and wholeness. In this process of connecting to God – maybe the first time for many seeking help – the individual will be helped to hear and sense God communicating to them. This is sometimes the beginning of a relationship with God.

Sozo is not counselling. It is a Spirit-led time between an individual and God. During this time, He gently reveals to them the wounds, lies and perceptions from past life experiences. These wounds often become barriers, and even strongholds, which can keep us away from victory, joy and an intimate relationship with God. Very importantly, this is a time to hear God speak directly into each hurt and replace any half-truths or lies that we’ve been believing, with His perfect truth and healing. These new truths that you receive from God in the session, will be written down and given to you at the end.

Because we focus on God and undoing the root of strongholds, we have little to no time to focus on the demonic (though we’re dealing with it all the time). For this reason, we don’t tend to have manifestations. For the same reasons the freedom gained in a Sozo session tends to stick.

It is normal for people to come into a Sozo session slightly nervous, not seeing or hearing God. It is normal for people to leave a Sozo session wondering why they were anxious, seeing and hearing God clearly!

All Sozo ministry team members have completed the Bethel Sozo training. After sufficient practical experience, each individual is released to be part of a Bethel Ministry team by the regional- or area facilitators appointed by Sozo South Africa.

If you have any questions regarding your personal Sozo, please use the contact form to get in touch.
