In light of the current COVID-19 Pandemic, you would have most likely realised that the world as we know it has probably changed forever. I believe the time at home will be different for everyone and I am sure there are so many questions going through your mind. I am sure there are many “what if….?” questions popping up, like I sometimes have.

I do believe fear will be something most of us will have to deal with at one point or another. As we all know, FEAR – a very normal emotion – is used by the devil and his spirits in this time, and if we tune into his channel, the whole effect of the COVID-19 pandemic can paralyse and overtake us.

My advice is that we all, on a daily basis, strengthen ourselves in the Lord, by meditating on the scriptures that remind us of what Jesus has accomplished at the cross!! Why not use communion to remind yourself that He has overcome death and sickness.

Our aim through SOZO is always to connect or reconnect someone to God through the TRUTH that God speaks. So, if fear attacks our faith, if it overtakes us, or steals our hope, we must use the simple SOZO tools to find our way back to His Presence and His embrace.

If you find it too difficult alone and you need support, please connect with me or a SOZO team and ask for a Zoom- or Skype session to get yourself free to trust again.

In his newly released book, “Faith that sees”, Chris Overstreet, previously the outreach pastor at Bethel Church, writes on page 12; “To trust God is to surrender and give up control as we acknowledge (to know) that God is the one who governs our lives.” Proverbs 3:6.”

Here below are a few scriptures that I have focused on to strengthen myself in this time:

Ephesians 6:1: “Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of His explosive power flowing in and through you”. (THE PASSION TRANSLATION)

Ephesians 6:16-18: “16 In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One! 17–18 Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God. (THE PASSION TRANSLATION)

2 Cor. 10: 5: “We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.”

My prayer is that your “Faith will see and believe” the Victory of the cross and the Truth of the Words of Psalm 91:

91: 1 When you sit enthroned[a] under the shadow of Shaddai,[b]
you are hidden[c] in the strength of God Most High.
2 He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me,
the only God for me, and my great confidence.
3 He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy,[d]
and he will protect you from false accusation
and any deadly curse.[e]
4 His massive arms[f] are wrapped around you, protecting you.
You can run under his covering of majesty and hide.
His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.
5 You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night
nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you.

6 Don’t fear a thing!
Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you,[g]
nor will the powers of evil launched against you.
7 Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed,
you will remain unscathed and unharmed.
8 you will be a spectator as the wicked perish in judgement,
for they will be paid back for what they have done!
9–10 When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High,
our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm.
How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us?
11 God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go,
defending you from all harm. “

Let’s all rejoice and praise our God for this wonderful protection we have through Jesus Christ.

Much love,
Carina Boshoff
